vragen.ai as a sovereign AI platform, built and hosted in the Netherlands
How we make local AI possible
"I really want to play a part in offering sovereign AI, AI from Dutch soil, where you decide from start to finish what comes out of a chatbot."
That is exactly why we set out to build vragen.ai. If you want to make AI accessible to municipalities, government bodies, healthcare institutions and public organizations, there is one thing you have to be able to guarantee: control. Over the data, over the infrastructure, and over the answers users get.
No systems where nobody knows where they run. No black box.
vragen.ai is an AI platform you can run on your own content, as a search engine or as an assistant. The technology is transparent, the way it works can be checked, and the infrastructure is entirely Dutch. That is a deliberate choice, not a detail.
Building trust together
For the technical side we work with TrueFullstaq. They make sure everything under the hood is right: GPU workloads, scalable infrastructure and monitoring. All within Dutch borders and under Dutch management.
They wrote a good article about our collaboration:

In the video TrueFullstaq made, Matthias (founder of vragen.ai) and Joris (AI lead) explain what vragen.ai stands for. What drives us. And why we are putting work into AI that supports public values right now.
AI you deploy on your own terms
With vragen.ai we help organizations open up their knowledge. Safely, under control, and traceable. Not a passing hype, but a solution built to last that works within the boundaries of legislation, compliance and common sense.
That is what sets vragen.ai apart. And that is what makes us proud.
